Laws of the Game 9 v 9 Football
Laws 1-17 apply to 9 v 9 football except:
- Use junior size pitch (see dimensions below)
- Use 16 x 7ft goalposts (see information below)
- Maximum squad of 14 players with repeat substitutions allowed.
- Maximum 30 minutes each way.

Goalposts
From the 2010/2011 season onwards only 16 x 7ft goalposts are permitted, and recommend that you choose the 16 x 7ft goalposts (portable of freestanding). The Football Foundation sometimes provides grants towards costs of new goalposts to All Affiliated clubs, please see www.footballfoundation.org.uk (Goalpost Safety) for further details.

Match Officials
All referees appointed to 9 v 9 games must be fully qualified registered with their Parent County FA and not qualified to referee Mini Soccer only.
Assistant referees should be used for all 9 v 9 games and one should be provided by each club.
