SJFL 2025 Respect Awards

SJFL is committed to delivering an Inclusive Football League that tackles all forms of discrimination and encourages inclusive practices. The league is the ONLY league that continues to support Kick It Out and  ‘The FA Heads Up’ (mental health / wellbeing of young people) in partnership with the Georgia Williams Trust (Official Respect Partner).

The Trust is an integral part of the RESPECT Awards and with their support SJFL offers sponsorship for Referee’s course fees for new referees wanting to join the league’s pool of referees. At the League’s Presentation Day the respect awards are presented to the respect winners from each of the age groups  from U7 – U16s with the trust awarding the the GWT Trophy to the best overall winning respect team in the league. The best Futsal respect team is also recognised and from the 61 teams entered in 2025  Baschurch Jnrs U8 team being the winners.
