The Shropshire Junior Football League, who not only provide football for age groups U8 – U16s, also raise money for worthy charities (through the charity cup funds) and the above named charities were nominated for a donation for the excellent community work they do in helping young people and their families with care and support across the community. The charities attended the SJFL Presentation Day at Montgomery Waters Stadium (home to STFC) in June and spoke humbly of their work in helping families and others. The league was pleased to present £500 to each charity and in some a small way demonstrate how grassroots football can help within the community.
