SJFL CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2021

Dear All Club Members.

SJFL is doing a Christmas Toy Appeal, the aim is to collect toys and games to make any child in hospital (PRH Hospital Telford, RSH & Agnes Hunt Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital) over Christmas and also to those families who are struggling to get presents for their children to open on Christmas Day.

We are asking for toys/games suitable for children age range 0 – 16 years of age. Toys/games must be new for the hospital but we are happy to accept any second hand toys that are in a good working condition & complete.

If clubs/teams want to make a money donation please pay by BACS ( Sort-code 20-77-85 / Account Number 10985309) using the reference SJFL Toy Appeal /club name or send cheques to the league secretary & payable to Shropshire Junior Football League, write Toy Appeal on the back.

Shropshire FA office has kindly offered to be one of our drop off points (subject to office hours open Mon-Fri 9.am to 5.pm).

For further info and drop off points please contact Jan or Becky and/or see info on the attached SJFL Toy Appeal Poster.

Many thanks for supporting the league’s children’s Toy Appeal

Today the SJFL dropped off the last of the Christmas Toy donations to the Barnabas Community Centre and Salvation Army. They were so grateful and thankful for the generous donation of toys and games. We couldn’t have made it a wonderful Christmas for families without your donations. Thanks to all.
The SJFL today presented toys and games to the Princess Royal Hospital Children’s Ward.
April and Jodie met with us outside the department. They were very pleased and grateful for our wonderful donation.

The league sends a BIG thank you to all clubs who donated many bags of toys and monies to the League’s Christmas Toy Appeal. The appeal raised a staggering £850 to buy and donate more toys for those unfortunate children in hospital (away from their family and friends) and to families struggling to buy presents for their children at Christmas supported through charities as the Barnabas Community Centre and Salvation Army.

Once again SJFL and all our members have shown great kindness for those in times of need and the league will continue to help and support the wider communities though our Charity Work/Funds. Read more at shropshirejuniorleague.co.uk/category/charities

Thank you and you should all be proud.
