The League sponsored a fifth Futsal Festival following the excellent games from previous years and 44 teams (over 440 participants) at U8, U9, and U10 enjoyed a very successful football festival at Shrewsbury Sports Village.

SJFL was the first junior league in the country to provide a mid-winter break for a Futsal festival, which area county associations and leagues have since followed, and this is now a calendar event that provides an essential part of player development and raising standards. This year Radio Shropshire made a visit and carried out interviews with players, managers and officers and a link at the radio station can be found on Futsal as Live.mp3 The League is already in consultation with SFA, SFA Development Office, Shrewsbury Sports Village and sponsors to promote a sixth Futsal Tournament next winter (2014).
