FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year 2017

Shrewsbury Up and Comers FC
The Club has transformed itself over the 2-3 years, in terms of its new structure and what it delivers to its members. The re-structure has allowed the club to change its ethos and community profile to a much more outward looking club. The Club Development plan focuses on both quality of experience given to players, and in terms of growth in the numbers of children being catered for. The club have worked with local schools and formed alliances with exterior organisations (Energise Shropshire, SCAT and Passmaster) that have allowed them to form partnerships which has seen an unprecedented growth in the amount of players being attracted to the Club with the continual focus to Girls football as well as Mini soccer and Minor League. Key areas include: attracting children in the 4/5 age group and give them 2 years of high quality coaching in a fun, safe & friendly environment before they begin development football at U7/8.
