SJFL promoted Marie Curie’s 40 years Spring 2026 Great Daffodil Appeal at the Festival of Cup Finals in April. The finals gave the charity an opportunity to meet people and raise awareness of Marie Curie’s work providing a better end of life care for more people, whatever the illness and to their funding palliative care research. Whilst a pledge of £750 had already been made a fantastic sum of £1,684 (inc donations on the day) was donated to the charity.

The league was pleased to make a donation of £250 to help the fundraising campaign for 16 year old Morgan Clewes (Ellesmere Rangers U16 footballer) who was injured in an accident while playing on a swing with friends. Morgan suffered significant injuries leaving him paralised from the neck down. The Ellesmere Community has already raised £2,300 for a specialist wheelchair which will cost around £10,000.

Shropshire Junior Football League was pleased to make a donation of £200 to Little Rascals Foundation at the MKM Building Supplies Ltd sponsored charity game at Shrewsbury Town FC on 2nd May. The donation was made by Mike Hames (SJFL) to Jess (Charity Manager for Little Rascals) and will support the help the charity provides to children and families with SEND needs.
